Now let’s look at some of the events in Ezekiel 38-39.  Ezekiel 38 tells us that Gog will send his “whole army” against Israel.  My belief is thatGod will wipe out both the entire Russian army and radical Islam in this battle, thus paving the way for the world of non-believers to follow and worship the Antichrist during the Tribulation.

Per Ezekiel 38, Russia’s leader will send his armies, both Russian and Muslim, to “invade a land that has recovered from war, whose people were gathered from many nations to the mountains of Israel”.  Many of the Jewish people have already been gathered to Israel from the many nations to which they were dispersed.  This is continuing today, and I think that it will increase even more when Israel is attacked in thePsalm 83 Battle.  I believe that it will be that war from which they are recovering in Ezekiel 38.

After the Psalm 83 Battle, the Israelis will be living in safety, as they will have wiped out the armies of their neighboring countries.  They will be “a peaceful and unsuspecting people”.

Ezekiel 38 also says that Israel will be wealthy prior to the attack by Gog and his armies.  They will be “rich in livestock and goods” and will have silver and gold and “much plunder”.  It will be God, and not the might of Israel, who will execute judgment upon Gog and his armies by destroying them.
